Upskilling (Door Supervisor)

The Upskilling course is aimed at all existing door supervisors who currently hold an SIA Door Supervisor Licence prior to June 2010 and wish to renew their SIA licence.

What does the course comprise of?

The Upskilling training course currently consists of two units:

• Unit 1 – Physical Intervention Skills
• Unit 2 – Safety Awareness for Door Supervisors

What is the assessment method?

Unit 1 will be assessed in two parts. Part one currently consists of a practical test, and part two of the unit is a written true/false test.

Unit 2 will be assessed by the completion of a 10-question multiple-choice examination.

What will I receive after the course?

Learners who successfully pass the Upskilling training course will receive a certificate through our warding body which has no expiry date.

Does the certificate expire?

The successful completion of the Upskilling course will enable you to renew your SIA Licence for a further 3 years.
